Chandrayan 3 has launched on 14th July 2023 and will do flyby and reach moon and attempt landing around 23-24 Aug 2023

Both the rover and lander have been designed to operate on the Moon for about 14 days.

Propulsion module

This module carries Shape (Spector Polarimetry of Habitable Planet earth) 

This payload is sent to study the spectral and polarimetric measurements of earth from the lunar orbit.

Lander Module

RAMBHA-LP, ChaSTE and ILSA scientific payloads are sent to study the Moon surface

Lander weighs approximately 1,750 kilograms including the rover

The lander measures about 2 by 2 by 1.1 metres

The lander will then touch down with the rover in the south polar region of the Moon, near 69.37 S, 32.35 E

Rover Module

APXS and LIBS are the payloads

Rover Weighs around 26 Kilograms

Rover measures about 91 by 75 by 39 cms
