Quitting smoking might just be one of the hardest things you’ll ever do. Even though most smokers who want to quit understand how harmful smoking actually is for them, they can’t bring themselves to put the lighter and cigarette down. This is a highly addictive habit that most aren’t able to completely kick no matter how hard they try. Summer is key to getting you to quit smoking, and this article will show you exactly why. You can count on your last cigarette actually being this summer.

1. You’re under less stress

Summer is just nicer. The Sun is out, the sky is blue, and everybody is having fun. Well, just think – what is the most common trigger for smoking? We bet one of them is stress. Well, if there is a time when you have minimal stress, it’s the summer. That’s why it’s the perfect time to quit.

Saying smoking is hard is an understatement. Stress makes you smoke, quitting smoking makes you stressed out, and you can see how this can go. Doing it during the summer means you can relax in other ways, and not think so much about smoking.

2. It just does feel as good

Let’s be honest here, guys – it’s just doesn’t feel as nice as it usually does. Smoking during the summer gives you a kind of clammy, heavy feeling. Just focus on the feeling – it makes the smoke stick to your skin; it just stays in the air. The buzz you get from a cigarette is downright nauseating during severe heat.

A big part of smoking is making things easier for you. Avoiding common triggers means avoiding the strongest moments of temptation. Getting some nice vape accessories, avoiding bars and cafes, all of this is supposed to help us with how much we want to smoke. Hot and humid weather makes us want it less anyway.

3. More exercise

If there is one thing that makes summer special, it’s the amount of exercise you can get. The pool, the beach, running in the mornings or the evenings, it all works. During colder weather, you can’t really do much except the gym or staying indoors. But during the summer you can do whatever you want, run, cycle, play basketball, go for a swim.

So, how does this tie into smoking? Well, a regular exercise routine does not pair well with smoking. It makes exercising much more painful, it saps a lot of enjoyment out of it, and makes its results worse as well.

4. A nicer autumn

If you succeed in quitting now, you will have a nicer autumn in front of you. Getting the initial cravings, getting rid of withdrawal symptoms right away, they all mean a nicer and more pleasant autumn. That’s is when you get more stress, when summer is over, and when you face more challenges when it comes to quitting the ciggies.

So, why not quit when its relatively easy, and enjoy your first smoke-free winter and autumn. Mainly because it will make winter easier too since you won’t be stuck indoors with a serious craving and withdrawal symptoms.

5. Nicer produce

Being healthier means handling stress and cigarette cravings much more easily. Well, eating healthy means staying healthy, and the summer can give you exactly that. There is a lot of fruit, lots of fresh vegetables all around. The perfect time to get a nice and healthy

Furthermore, people usually can’t handle the increased appetite they feel when they quit. They deal with it by overeating, by snacking all the time. Then gaining too much weight becomes discouraging. But, if you are snacking on fresh fruit and produce, on apples and carrots, then you can get all of this under control.

6. A different rhythm

A big part of smoking is that it’s a habit. With coffee, work breaks, coffee, a drink… But, summer is special because it kind of breaks us away from our habits, good and bad. Its time for life, vigor, change… So, why not go with this new rhythm, and change things up.

Keep an eye on yourself, your time, and your behavior. Try to change your habits and patterns in line with the new season, and focus on the beauties of summer and everything it brings.

Conclusion

As you can see, summer is truly the perfect time to quit smoking. The time of year combined with these tips will surely be enough to help you kick the habit for good. Keep yourself healthy, get some exercise, and have fun in the Sun. You won’t have to worry about coming back to cigarettes because you’ll get used to the awesome feeling of being smoke-free. We’re confident you have it in you to quit for good and improve your life significantly.
