Hello guys the all new compact sedan is here and it is also the cheapest compact sedan in india Tata Tigor at just 4.7 lakhs. Most of the design is inspired from its hatchback siblings but yet Tata has opted for a more flowing design, branded by the company as ‘Styleback.Thats the reason the car has coupe like roofline with new doors. It has 50mm longer wheelbase compared to its siblings.It has both petrol and diesel variants but there is no automatic transmission option yet. Probably this is the first car which has a smaller diesel engine than petrol engine like its siblings Tiago. The petrol variant base model starts at 4.7 lakhs and the top model at 6.4 lakhs, whereas the diesel base model starts at 5.6 lakhs and top model at 7.1 lakhs.

Looking at exterior we can see the car is under 4 meter length with sloping roofline which gives it a coupe like design. Petrol variants has a 15 inch tyres which looks appealing whereas the diesel has only 14 inch wheels. The Tigor also gets a blacked out headlamp cluster with projector low beams and a halogen high beam setup and LED tail lamps with a high-mounted LED third brake light which lights up-end to end on the rear windscreen. It has an integrated roof spoiler with third brake light inside it.

Coming to interior the dashboard is well designed and is built with good quality plastic, the center console has a touch screen with mirror link, but it does not support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.The rear has good leg room and shoulder room, but the taller passenger might have slightly less headroom due to the sloping roofline.

Talking about specification the petrol has 1.2 litre 3 cylinder producing 84 bhp and 114 NM of torque. Diesel Tigor has 1.05 litre 3 cylinder turbocharged engine which produces 69 bhp and 140 NM of torque.

So this car is good but the petrol is less exciting to drive as it feels under power on road, on other hand diesel feels good on road with its 140 NM of torque. But we have to accept both variants are easy to drive with lighter and responsive clutch and good transmission. It does not wear you out in traffic and it rides and handles good.
