Jeep Compass was one of the most anticipated cars in indian market. It would be Jeep’s first low-priced car in india. The entry-level sport petrol is priced at 14.95 lakhs and the higher diesel variant is priced at 20.65 lakhs. It is built-in Fiat’s Ranjangaon facility.
It would compete with XUV500, Toyota Innova and other car priced around 15 to 20 lakhs. The all-new Jeep Compass SUV will be offered in a total of three variants – Sport, Longitude and Limited, and will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options.
The exterior styling is inspired by the Jeep Grand Cherokee. The aerodynamic design of Jeep Compass is extremely likeable to all. The distinct trademark Jeep grille, trapezoidal wheel arches, clever visual cues like the available black roof and bright chrome moulding that wraps dramatically around the entire length of the vehicle, gives the Jeep Compass a premium and equally powerful profile.
The Compass pushes the boundaries of innovation with its eight available wheel designs that combine strong shapes with lightweight materials. The touchscreen is not up to the mark, you have to touch twice to select any option, that is a bit drawback considering the price of the car.
The steering is wrapped with leather which provides good comfortable grip and gives the cabin a sporty look. The steering wheel has audio and phone control button, and it is placed in a way that it does not distract you while driving. I love this car, but the pricing is bit high for the features this car is offering, said that it is a strong competitor for the SUV’s in this range. If you are looking for a car that your will enjoy driving this is the one to go for. And about off-roading Jeep is always good for that, and I am sure that indian Jeep Compass will also fulfill that.
