After sending four young players to Oakland to get first baseman Matt Olson, who is four years younger than Freeman, Atlanta looked to be shifting its play tic tac toe focus away from Freeman, who turned 32 on Monday (and two years away from his own free agency). Olson is the most capable substitute for Freeman that could possibly be found. However, he is not a Freeman.
