Porsche 911 GT3 Launched In India
Porsche in india added another 911 into its line, the new 911 GT3 which priced at 2.31 crore ex-showroom india. It was reveled in 2017 Geneva Motor Show. It is one of the most powerful 911 in the country. Porsche 911 GT3 is launched in competition with Mercedes AMG GT-R, the Audi R8 and the Nissan GT-R.
Engine
Porsche GT3 is the most powerful 911 in india right now. It is powered with 4-litre six cylinder naturally aspirated boxer engine. This engine is tuned to churn out 493 bhp of power and 540 NM of torque. There are two transmission option, the awesome 7-speed PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) automatic transmission and, the exciting manual transmission with 6-speed. The power-to-ratio is good, and thus 0-60 is achieved in just 3.4 secs on automatic transmission, and 3.9 secs in manual, with a top speed of 318 kmph in automatic and 320 kmph in manual.
Exterior
Porsche 911 GT3 has an optional feature called pneumatic lift system on front axle. This feature will lift the front of the car by 30 mm. Lift is achieved at 50 kmph to avoid damages to the body caused by uneven road surface. For dedicated track driving an optional club sport package is available which includes roll cage, a red six-point seat belt for the driver and fire extinguisher.
Porsche 911 GT3 visually has 911 DNA all around, with imposing stance, sloop roofline and other signature design. The Porsche 911 GT3 comes with standard aero package, larger wheels smoked headlamps with four points LED DRLs. The biggest addition is the massive rear wing provides a ton of downforce, which helps the car very well. The chassis has been revised with rear-axle steering and lightweight components for improved driving dynamics.
Porsche 911 GT3 includes larger air dams when compared to other 911s. The new side air blades help aerodynamics and air intake cooling. There are many air opening vents which increases the aerodynamics of the car, and are protected by titanium finished grilles,
Interior
The cabin has familiar layout of a 911, with customization options including leather and Alcantara, apart from carbon fibre and aluminum inserts as optional. There are 3 seat option – electrically adjustable adaptive sports seats, bucket seats with foldable backrest and bucked seats made out of carbon fibre reinforced plastic.
911 GT3 is one of the most good-looking car without a doubt. The lightweight chassis ads more power to the car which is stabilized by the spoiler which adds a huge amount of downforce.
