Jeep Cherokee diesel was first launched in india, now the petrol version is also launched on 19 July 2016. Earlier only the SRT model had petrol variant now Summit variant has also been launched in petrol. The Grand Cherokee Petrol with the V6 engine is the third petrol powered Jeep to be offered in India after the V8 Hemi powered Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT and the Jeep Wrangler petrol. It is priced at 75.17 lakhs
The Grand Cherokee is now available with a 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine that makes 286 bhp of peak power and 347 Nm of peak torque mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifter.
The SRT(Street & Racing Technology) version has 6.4 Litre V8 petrol engine producing 468 bhp @ 6250 RPM and 624 Nm @ 4100 RPM.
Features
The fully loaded Summit variant petrol has all the features that this range SUV needs to have. It has additional air suspension package. Air suspension allows you to adjust the ride height of your vehicle on the go.
There are few visual updates to this new Grand Cherokee petrol variant. It includes slightly updated biller like finish on the front grille. It has 20 inch wheels as standard. LED fog lamps are also standard. The SUV is available in six colours including a new shade of black and red apart from the usual silver, while, grey and dark blue.
