Google Maps New Feature allows you to see planets and moons
Google Maps is providing this new feature so that you can explore our solar system sitting in your home.
Google has partnered with NASA and european space agency to generate the detailed map of Venus, Pluto and many Saturn’s moon. The Cassini spacecraft which took thousand of photos of statures and its moon. The Cassini spacecraft died on 15th sep 2017.
It also lets you explore Mercury, Venus, International spacestation, Mars and our moon and ofcourse our earth.
Though you cannot see everything there are limitation on how much you can zoom, and not all parts of planets and moons are visible.
There are some limits on how much you can zoom and how much you can spin the planets around, but the views are definitely nothing like you’ve ever seen before.
How to use it?
It is easy to access just go to google maps and zoom out completely by scrolling or using the minus sign. Now switch to satellite view by clicking the toggle in left hand corner. Now you should be able to see the list of planets and moons on the left side, if not just try to zoom out a little more. If have trouble accessing it here is the link for maps.
